Thin Brick in Restaurants
Restaurants from coast to coast have made Tejas Stone’s thin brick lines consistently one of their best-sellers !
Tejas Stone by Veneerstone offers two sizes of thin brick. A king-sized (wire-cut style) thin brick which is popular for larger building exteriors, but they also carry a smaller queen-sized which has become a favorite for restaurant interiors.
The smaller size is available in both modular and antique. The antique has proven to be the most popular, as restaurants enjoy the warmth and old world style of the antique thin brick.
Some restaurants using Tejas thin brick include, Corner Bakery Cafe, with locations throughout the country, Punk’s Backyard Grill in Anapolis, MD., and Oliveto’s Italian Bistro with locations throughout the southwest.
Well known and respected restaurant designer Kathy Diamond-Ulepic of Kathy Diamond Design Associates in Scottsdale, Ariz., has always been a big fan of using thin brick on restaurant interiors. She has been the lead designer on many new concept restaurants over the last couple of years.
Tejas Textured Stone by Pavestone is proud to be featured in these fine restaurants !

In an effort to captilize on sales, The world’s largest specialty coffee chain, Starbucks coffee has continued to add drive-thru windows at as many locations as possible.
Starbucks featuring Tejas Manufactured Stone
Company officials have reported that the emphasis on drive-thrus have also been “driven” <pun-intended> by the company’s expansion to the suburbs.
Many years ago, Starbucks was a standard fixture in inner-city locations and drive-thru opportunities were much more rare. As the company began opening more and more suburban stores, the majority of new stores began to include drive-thrus.
Tejas Stone by Veneerstone is proud to be featured on many Starbucks locations. The drystack application of Stackstone has been a popular choice of Starbucks. The attached picture shows one location that used Tejas Stone’s Texas Cream Stackstone.
Have you used a Starbucks drive-thru recently, What is your favorite Starbuck’s treat? Comment below and let us know.

McDonald's Interior - Colleyville
The world’s largest restaurant chain, McDonald’s has set-out to bring a sophisticated look to their restaurant interiors.
Included in the new interiors are many new elements that include enhanced seating and decor elements, contemporary artwork, modern lighting and fixtures, wood and metal seating, updated restrooms and Tejas Stone’s new sleek panel system, Imperial Stack Stone.
The panel system from Tejas Stone is not only a great looking product that provides a contemporary look, but it installs much faster than a standard drystack look and fits together tighter then virtually any other manufacturers quick-stak panel system.
The panel system was developed by Tejas Stone by Veneerstone’s chief of product development, who Tejas hired away from Cultured Stone some years ago. He has stated that “this is the tightest fast stack manufactured stone system available in the industry and he is proud to have been able to improve on his earlier work in this field”
Traditional dry-stack stone applications require that an installer place each & every stone individually. The Imperial Stack panel system allows the installer to install one piece that represents up to six individual pieces thus HUGE savings are achieved in installation cost!
Imperial stack has become extremely popular on both residential and commercial properties including new hotels.
Tejas Stone is proud to be featured on both McDonald’s exteriors as well as the new interiors of their restaurants throughout the US.

Unleashed Dog Park
Unleashed Dog Park, which opened last year has seen great success despite a “rough-rough” economy!
Unleashed owners, Kelly and Cody Acree raised $10 million to build the massive 50,000 SF facility situated on 6.5 acres just 4 miles outside of downtown Dallas, Texas.
In addition to being the nation’s first indoor dog park, the facility also has a pet supply center, restaurant, cyber café, grooming, daycare and lounge areas overlooking all the action.
The owners have recently reported to CNN news that the park is averaging in excess of $200,000 a month in income! And sales having been increasing at approx. 10%.
Tejas Textured Stone worked with the owners to coordinate selections of two different stones for both interior and exterior use.
The couple settled on one of Tejas Stone’s newer and best selling colors, Mineral County in the Pacific Ledgestone series and Limestone in the Cowboy color. Both products from Tejas Stone by Veneerstone were used on both the exterior cladding of the building as well as the massive interior finish out.
Limestone from Tejas comes in large 12″ x 24″ pieces and mimics natural limestone, but installs much faster and easier then its natural counterpart, thus allowing developers to save as much as 45% of the cost of using natural limestone !
The owners have plans to open several locations throughout the US. Have you and man’s best friend made a visit to this park? Let us know what you think !

The new color introduced last year by Tejas Stone by Veneerstone has quickly become one of the company’s best sellers !!

The color came about because a longtime customer of Tejas, Alliance / Broadstone Properties wanted to build three new apartment communities and have the same colored natural stone that existed on their Lewisville, Texas property.
However, they were well aware that building a large scale project with natural stone would cost them a great deal more then using the manufactured product produced by Tejas Stone, so they called upon Tejas’ experienced product development team to mimic the natural stone – (nicotine) in a custom matched manufactured product !
Broadstone was thrilled with the results and used the newly named “Canyon Blend” color on three apartment complexes they built in 2009.
Tejas Stone decided to make it a standard color when they kept getting request for the stone from individuals who had seen the apartment complexes located throughout the DFW area.
With its’ heavy pallet of rich copper tones, Canyon Blend is a fantastic compliment to the Tejas line!

Both properties feature the same Tejas Stone style, Imperial Stack stone. Tejas’s Imperial Stack stone is a panel system, which gives the look of drystack stone but installs up to 40% faster than standard drystacked stone.
